We make the case that what actually matters is specification: stating the problem, the constraints, what “done” looks like, and what must never happen. That’s one of the oldest, hardest skills in software, and AI is brutally good at exposing the fuzziness in our own heads.

We look at what this does to a team’s value — implementation getting cheap, clarity getting expensive — and why the most modern-sounding tool in the industry quietly rewards the upfront thinking we told ourselves we’d outgrown.
